I apologize, I am completely inept. I am looking at like 5 different cv’s and they seem similar but all have variations, but I’m not sure what the most professional way to put it together is. I am applying to a few molecular and cell bio programs. I went to college and worked clinical for a year (I wanted to do nursing, also part of the reason I have no undergrad research). I then swapped to do research for the last three years.
My questions are:
Am I correct to assume the clinical lab will go in the professional section, and the research job in the research?
Should I explain the overall research goal of the research lab I worked in
If I was to do that, Am I also correct that I should exclude the two jobs (resident assistant and medical biller) from my cv as they don’t have to do with research? (I did off hand mention those two jobs in my SOP due to grades)
In the education section, should I include related coursework?
I also received a certificate for data science. I currently have a certificates section. Should I include it in the education section instead?
I have one poster presentation. It was only a small snippet of the entire project and none of it has been published I’m am not entirely sure if that counts for presentations or abstracts. Where would you put something like that?
