So, I've been mining ETH for a little while (maybe a month now) on my gaming PC when I'm not using it.
I have a single 2080 ti. And I got to thinking: "What if I got a legit GPU mining rig?"
So, that took me on about a 2 day deep dive into specs, optimization and the general 'how to' guides on building a rig. I am pretty handy, and I have the cash to buy what I want, but the biggest issue is:
How do I find GPUs other than just 'keep trying the online store every day'?
Ideally, I'd grab up a 19-slot motherboard, slap together 19 RTX 3060s and just let that heat up my house all winter (I live up north, so it gets real cold, real quick).
If there's some kind of trick I'm missing besides "Go hang out at microcenter every day", then please let me know.
I've also looked into purchasing a bitmain Antminer S19Pro when it launches, but i don't know if it's really going to be worth it. Looks like it, but I don't understand enough about mining yet.
Thanks for your time.
