Any tips for getting more fps when i am gpu limited

hello im stuck here with a particular situation
i play in 4k but i need to get 30 fps lock on all games and i can only get in like red dead 2 for example 23 fps
i have overclocked as much as the card will take but would consider lowering the resolution a smidge if there is a low performance requirement sharpening i can do to make it similar to native resolution
any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
