I'll be taking a trans-pacific cargo cruise in about 2 weeks, and I would like to track my route with a gps device. I've only used very basic devices for geocaching, but I don't own one. I would just like to "bookmark" my position a couple times a day and have a pretty map upon my return that I could somehow transfer to a computer. I would like to reuse the device for camping and ice-fishing purposes later on.
Is there a decent, inexpensive device that fits this description? I've looked at newegg but those devices seem to be mainly for street navigation, and if there was difference, I honestly cannot tell as I'm a total noob and time for research is running short. Thanks!
