Post Body

Just wanted to share my DIY fix for my win 2 battery, my original stopped holding charge correctly and the aftermarket replacement I purchased had the annoying issue of not detecting in windows and not showing %

So I ended up deslodering the original battery charging circuit board and re-soldering it to the replacement battery pack, after some scary zaps and smoking during soldering and some messing about, it works!!

I DO NOT recommend anyone who isn't a skilled IT person do this, I've been an IT tech for 8 years and still this was a little spooky, soldering to a battery has long been a thing I've decided isn't worth the risk, but lord help me I wasn't about to waste another $80AU on a battery that likely would have the same issue (not to mention the month or 2 wait time)
