I just got my 7y30 Win 2 with rumble repaired and modded up (thanks to the wonderful Psyops), and I was super psyched to use it again but man, the max made me realize all the limitations of the win 2.
The lack of trackpad is noticeable, I forgot how irritating using windows could be with just mouse mode. The screen size is so small and dimmer, it's a bit of a strain to me now. The wifi is worse, having significantly more stutter or res drops game streaming than the max. It heats up like a boiler on any mid to high tdp. The build quality feels less durable. And the performance is really low, even on old games. I got used to playing 60fps on last gen titles.
The only advantages are that it's much more portable, cost, rumble (on early units), and weighing less and being smaller means better positioning of the controller and more manuaverability (I find intense fps games can be hard on the Max bc of the weight).
Besides that, the max is imo the best device gpd have made hands down. I hope the Win 3 maintains some design choices from it (hell I'd personally rather a win max 2 than a Win 3 at this point lol).
