Hey guys, I have been lurking on these forums like crazy since the Wins launch and I finally bit the bullet and purchased one as I could not wait any longer, I am getting the new batch shipping on January 10th with all the improvements and I just had a few questions,

1: I know the new BIOS locks down a lot and you cant really do anything now and to restore the functionality I need to flash the older bios...but would that effect anything else about the system? I know these new jan 10 models have firmware updates and a lot of software improvements, will flashing the older bios essentially downgrade me ? or does it just effect the bios and everything else is current and up to date?

2: Is it worth wiping it when I get it and installing a fresh copy of windows 10 and then update to the anniversary update? or is the install GPD includes perfectly fine?

3:does doing any of the bios tweaks by phawx drastically hurt battery life? cus I know the Win doesn't have great battery life as it is

4: does doing the bios tweaking improve performance by a worthwhile amount ?

5: has anyone here tried remix os duelbooted? I plan to give it a go as I have seen someone get android x86 up and running and remix os is waaayy easier to get going than that

sorry about the bombardment of questions but I have been waiting for a device like this since I was a little kid, I have always loved pocket pcs and umpcs and growing up I bugged my dad for an OQO when they retailed for close to $900...obviously never got one, so this machine to me is a childhood dream come true :)
