I've been diagnose with both gout and PF over the years. The last major PF bout was probably 12 years ago - i wore a brace, did stretches and quit worrying about it.

Then gout pain started off and on about 3-4 years ago - I've been on allo 300 mg for a year and a half, mostly well controlled since then. But I've currently had a lot of pain in my arch for several days - taking colchicine, Ibu 600 and allo still. When I lie down at night it hurts with my foot at the wrong angle. I don't feel anything if I'm on my side and the foot is flat on the bed, but if I flex it or bend it, it hurts bad. Wakes me up a couple times in the night- and hurts to walk to the bathroom. After I'm up for a while the pain is minor to walk on, and just sitting around I don't feel anything.

Is this more likely a gout flare or plantar faciitus?
