I have been taking febuxostat since Aug 3rd. I was first told to take a week worth of colchicine (3x a day) with it.
Aug 16 I went to the doctor again for another attack, though not as bad as the first one. I was prescribed another week worth of colchicine taken 3x a day. The doctor said should i experience attacks again, just take colchicine as needed (for minor attacks).
Today, Aug 31, im back to limping. Took 3 tablets of colchicine today. Still uncomfortable especially when walking but it’s not that painful.
My question to those who has/ had the same experience:
How long do you take colchicine when a minor attack comes?
PS. Im taking it thrice a day because that’s how i was instructed from the very beginning. Im thinking when should i stop because i dont want to take it for a week thrice a day everytime an attack happens.
And no. I dont stop taking febu even when an attack comes since Aug 3rd.
