Is there any rhyme or reason as to which side of your body gets flareups?

I’ve had gout for about five years now. I almost always seem to get flares in my right leg/foot. Is there any science as to why this is, or just a coincidence?

Mine starts in my left big toe, then goes to the side down my left foot, heel, then goes to other big toe some like it’s starting to go to both.

Yes, and if I lay in bed too long or sit for too long my bones will start to get sore from the pressure of sitting/touching the car seat, couch, etc
