I've been planning on learning guitar to make my own music. Recently I wanted to know if there are ways to get the signature sound of goth music.
In particular the guitar distortion and reverb that is an integral part of the music. As I'm exploring the many delays, flangers, reverbs, and compressors it's becoming more difficult to find what I'm looking for.
Is there something I'm missing or is it a lot simpler than I think? In addition to that what steps should I take to get what I am trying to achieve? Advice is much appreciated.
