This thing I noticed. Like many TV shows and books and even games, at first the Gorillaz look all fun and smiley and happy, but as the phases go on everything seems so darker and you get more hints and lore about what "actually heppens". For example - phase one looks all sweet, Murdoc looks like the typical weirdo. Demon days suddenly takes a sharp U turn and crashes Noodles' island down with Murdocs' choppers. Then the Plastic beach and the fact that Murdoc has a robot as Noodle which apperantly does anything he wants. The The Fall, 2Ds' struggle with the American way, pills..

Everything becomes so much darker. Murdoc owns everyone, Murdoc is god, having people on pills and smashing their dreams and treats them like shit ( Do Ya Thing ). I think the fourth phase is just back to the old happy days. And so I hope.
