How to control upload throughput from phone to cloud
Post Body

I have a Hero 8 that, as of last night, had about 20 videos stored in the iOS GoPro Quik app that I wanted to upload to gopro cloud, most 1 minute or less, maybe 5 or so were 2-4 minutes long, most 1080p, some 2.7k resolution. When I would check upload status on my account in the browser, there were never more than two uploads going on at once.

When I woke up this morning, 8 hours later, there were still 10 videos remaining, and none of the longer videos had been uploaded. I also noticed that now there was only ONE active upload going at a time.

Although mobile upload is faster than direct from the camera, this is still not a great upload throughput, especially when you have limited on-phone storage so you can’t bring everything over from the camera all at once. I would like to know:

  1. is it possible to configure the maximum number of simultaneous mobile uploads?

  2. does mobile upload slow down if the gopro quik app is not in the foreground, or if the phone screen is not active at all or in sleep mode?

  3. can i manually select more videos from the gopro app to upload simultaneously from the website without losing quality? seems like i would have to export to my camera roll first in order to use this option
