Total noob with GoPro

I would like to get both a clip on mic like a Dji and a mic that goes on top for capturing surrounding sound and for vlogs however I’m unsure if I can use both on my hero 11 as my media mod is coming in the mail and I’m able to use both (I’ve heard you can use an aux splitter) I just need advice on what I can and can’t use. If you have any money friendly microphones give me a link to that if you could too cheers.
