GoPro Hero 13 Creator Edition for concerts/mosh pits?
Post Body

Hi, Iā€™m looking into the idea of replacing my iPhone 13 Pro Max(will upgrade this fall to the 16 Pro) for concerts and mosh pits with a GoPro Hero 13 with the Creator Accessories.

I thought about this idea after the last Travis show I went to, the footage I got was absolutely amazing, but to capture it I had to back off from the pits and get to a place closer to the scene where I could hold the phone better and change between the different cameras for zoom and other settings while filming because the show lights caused the iPhone to overexpose, but at the end of the day the footage was great, will add a clip for reference.

I am thinking of buying the Hero 13 with the Creator Accessories because the grip seems like it would be easier to hold compared to an iPhone at a concert and because the GoPro shoots in 5.3k and I am thinking that this would allow me to just let the GoPro record and then crop in after I get the footage from the camera allowing me to enjoy the show more while knowing that I have some great footage assured. One main concern I have is the durability of the GoPro with the Volta grip since in these concerts it is very common to get water or liquids on the phone while shooting, at the Travis show we had some real rain at some point, so that is a concern.

Do you think I could achieve this type of footage with the GoPro or should I stick to using the iPhone and maybe just get a fancy grip that does stabilisation? Tyyyy
