How do I get rid of all google photos without it deleting from my iPhone?

It says I’m out of google storage and that I may not be able to send or receive emails because of it. I never signed up for google photos. It just automatically did it. I don’t want my photos on there and every time I try to delete them, it deletes on my phone too. And yes. I turned off backup. That didn’t work.
