Shared albums GPS enabled later by collaborators

Example:
- A shared album is created, another person is adding images before allowing GPS location data to be shared.
- I have added the images from the shared album to be saved to my personal Google Photos library.
- Then I tell the other person to enable sharing the GPS location data.
- Now I can see the Google Maps location block in the album but for the same photos I do not see it in my personal Google Photos library.
Problem: I have re-selected all images and saved them again, but that didn't change it in my own photo library.
Question: How can I get the images with the GPS data to be saved in this case?
