I'm still troubleshooting this, but figured I would ping the group!
I have two separate units in this one property. Two completely separated Google Homes as well, but identical devices. On different networks. Both units have brand new LG OLED CX TVs in their respective living rooms. Both have Chromecast Ultra (ethernet), and both have multiple other Google speakers peppered throughout the house, each added to their own speaker group.
Now, before I had segregated the networks, and split up all devices, I had it working (for a time) where if you said "Hey Google, play [whatever] on All Speakers" it would automatically turn on the TVs since they were part of the (nine) speaker group.
Now, after having split all of the devices up (3 6), something odd happened: it works in one unit, but not the other. That is, one home will turn the TV on, and play the music on all speakers. The other home won't turn the TV on, but still plays the music on all speakers (it just won't including the TV until it's turned on manually). Now, I would have thought it was an HDMI-CEC issue. But here's the thing, if I say "Hey Google, turn on the TV" ...... it turns on the TV. It just won't do it automatically when being cast to, like the other unit does.
What gives, ya think? What should I try?
