What home products should I pair?

I just got my Home in, and have it set up with my Nest and my Chromecasts. I'd like to get some automated lights. I was looking at Smart things, but don't really need any of the extra security stuff, that then brought me to Phillips Hue. Anyone have a hue setup that would recommend it? Bonus points if you can tell me how to use IFTTT with home. Thanks!
