iOS user here, so I'm sure that's one strike against me already. But please give me a hand.
All I'm trying to do is save directions that I make in Google Maps on my desktop and open them in the Google Maps app on my iPhone. The only time I've gotten it to work, it changed the directions back to the simplest route. I need the route I made because that's how I have to go.
I've saved custom maps to my Google Drive, but it won't open them in Google maps. I've tried saving to "My Places". There is no way to open these in Google Maps though it does say something about "saved places" in the menu.
I've tried simply saving the link, using pushbullet to send it to the phone, and then opening it there. But that's when it changes the directions I have back to the basics and forgets my alterations.
I used to use a program called "Tyre" that worked with a stand alone GPS unit. It was perfect for this, but now my GPS unit is woefully out of date. Certainly there has to be a way to save a route on my desktop and send it to my phone in 2015. I'm just not finding it.
