Wheel of Mythicality Counterclockwise WHY

I just tried to explain this to my housemates and they didn’t get me. I think it’s unsatisfying that the Wheel of Mythicality is counter-clockwise. I assume it’s because the words read better out-to-in? I’m a new fan this year, didn’t discover them in childhood like most of you! Wish I did :) ❤️ but does anyone know whyyy or also find this troubling?
