What's it like being a personal trainer at goodlife?

hey, I'm 21 and I've been thinking about becoming a PT for a while now, but I really want to learn more about what a day in the life is like, and your experience as a PT, especially at the beginner stages. I have a boring, standard, 9-5 office job right now that pays my bills, I don't hate it, but I don't think it's what I want to do for the next 40 years lol. I've been training some of my friends (for free) for the last couple months, and sometimes they bring in new people for some of the sessions as well, they've made pretty good progress and I've found that I prefer training people to my regular job, I feel way more fulfilled helping people get stronger/healthier than I do looking at spreadsheets all day. I have a couple of concerns about becoming a PT though.

  1. What was your experience like during the early stages of your PT career? Anything you know now that you wish you had known then?

  2. I've only been working out for about 2 years now myself, I feel like I've made a lot of progress, but I realize 2 years isn't a lot of time. Even if I got certified, I think that me only having 2 years of gym experience would be a problem. Do you think it'll be a problem as well?

  3. I don't post a lot on social media and I don't really want to. Are PTs expected to have a social media presence like a fitness page? I've thought about making one before but I feel like recording and posting my workouts has just never been my thing

  4. How difficult is it to get clients as a beginner? Does Goodlife offer any support with helping you get clients?

  5. Can I be a personal trainer part time? I don't want to quit my 9-5 and jump into a totally different career path, seems kinda risky.

  6. What's the pay like? Do you get a standard rate then get paid extra for getting clients? I'm asking this because I like the "stable" pay of my current job, just want to have an idea of how much my pay would fluctuate as a PT.

Please feel free to DM if you feel more comfortable answering there, thanks so much!
