Welcome to the Pokey Pokey Literotica club! Would you like to become a member? This started out as a half-finished script based on an adorably romantic scene in the visual novel game “Doki Doki Literature Club!”...and now here we are with a whole-ass collab. Since I first started writing here, I’ve wanted to try creating a Choose Your Own Ending story, and this just seemed like the perfect way to do it. Meet the girls, choose one to “date”, and then reload your save to see the other endings.

These scripts are very loosely based on characters and events from the game. I don’t delve into the game's darker themes, and I’ve changed names and personalities to fit the story I wanted to tell. As such, prior knowledge of the game is completely unnecessary to perform or enjoy the scripts.

Synopsis:

A book-lover talks to his best friend about wanting to try a new creative pursuit, and she opens up about her hobby of writing and sharing erotica on a website called Literotica. After discussing it for a while, and even trying his hand at a short NSFW story, she’s invited him to an erotic literature club that she organizes with three friends. She just happens to be hosting this month’s meeting, and it’s coming up this weekend, if he’s interested….

No knowledge of “Doki Doki Literature Club!” is required to understand or enjoy these scripts. If you are familiar with the game, you may recognize the inspiration behind various characters and scenes, but this is very much its own story.

Performers, this is a fairly straightforward Choose Your Own Ending story. The introductory script is where all of the characters meet/interact. In dating sim tradition, the listener then chooses which character to pursue a relationship with. There are a total of 5 scripts and 4 endings.

Feel free to substitute the names of the characters with your own. They are occasionally used outside of the introductory script, and I’ve written names in all CAPS and {braces} to make them easy to spot. For the introductory script, I felt it necessary to use pause on its own line to indicate when the listener would be responding. Pronunciations for a couple of non-English words have been provided in asterisks.

Her…friendliness made quite an impression on the listener, so when she mentioned that she’d love to give him detailed feedback on his short story, he took her up on the offer right away and invited her over to his place.

She has a passion for books and writing. The listener expressed an interest in writing romantic stories like hers, so she invited him over this evening to discuss further.

-SARAH has been the listener’s best friend since childhood. She is a lighthearted tomboy who is a bit on the goofy side. She’s a bit sporty and a lot nerdy. She’s been secretly in love with the listener for almost a year, and has so far been unwilling to risk their friendship over what she assumes is unrequited love. Instead of getting to know one of the other girls, the listener decided to hang out with his best friend. This weekend starts out the same as many others before; they’re having some beers on her sofa, watching the game….
