There's snow on the ground, the nights are getting short, and you know what that means! It's football season! (American football, I mean, but of course it's also the World Cup for the other kind of football).

For some couples, football season can create conflict on Sunday afternoon. They argue about who gets to watch TV, they never get to have a fun outing to the apple orchard, or build any snowmen. And worst of all, football is so confusing!

But maybe, if the listener was the speaker's boyfriend, and if he had a lucky jersey that he always wore for the big game, we could find some way to work all these problems out!
