The magic college is preparing for its winter recess. Only two students remain, tasked with the tedious, and arduous task of winter proofing the college’s buildings against the cold, the snow, and the ice. One student is a poor, but meritorious half-giant. She is genuinely hard working and accordingly is remarkably accomplished as a mage, but because of her ignoble background, size and strength, she is generally made to do the basest labor around the college; books are heavy, after all. The other student is a halfling of privileged birth, a wealthy family, and position of social power. All characters, spoken and referenced are over 18.
