SYNOPSIS: You (the listener) are hung up on your childhood friend and wishing you could get her to see you a different way. You want to tell her how you feel, but something is holding you back—somehow you sense she doesn’t feel the same way, but you can’t get her out of your mind anyway. When ANOTHER girl (the speaker) who you literally ran into in the library at the beginning of the semester, approaches you while you’re walking across campus, you don’t know what to make of her. It turns out she shares a class with you, and she’s really cute too. She gets to asking you some questions, and discovers you like your best friend and don’t know how to approach her to ask her on a date. This girl offers to help teach you how to ask her by example. She cites the movie Hitch, and tricks you into getting “Closer” to her while she ostensibly teaches you how draw your best friend in for a kiss. The truth is, though that this girl REALLY likes you, and she’s not only earnestly trying to save you from making a mistake with your childhood friend, she’s trying to get you to notice that SHE is standing right in front of you. Eventually she coaxes you into kissing her, and things get even more naughty from there as she makes you cum on the landing of an outdoor stairwell of the psych building where no one is around. In the end, you realize you have a choice to make—do you pursue the impossible dream of trying to coax your best friend into becoming your lover, OR do you surrender to the flesh and blood reality of a kind and beautiful (albeit slightly tricksy) girl who’s standing right in front of you. WARNING: This is an alternative to the usual “friends to lovers” story, in which a character endures the pitfalls and heartache of unrequited love with their childhood friend, while at the same time discovering something much more magical with the girl who’s right in front of their face. If you’re looking for a story in which two childhood friends fall in love with each other and live happily ever after, this one isn’t for you—but there are different flavors of happily ever after. Sometimes we just need a little push to wake us up from our wishful dreams and see the very real opportunities we might have missed.
