Hello all!
Back with another script! Many thanks to /u/insomnia_swede for suggesting this idea to me and beta-reading the first draft!
Depending on which version you find, the story of Tristan & Isolde can be quite complicated, so I will try to summarize the relevant portions to the best of my ability in the synopsis. Hope you enjoy!
Synopsis: The speaker plays the part of Tristan, a knight who was given the task of retrieving the Princess Isolde (the listener) and delivering her to her future husband and Tristan’s uncle, King Mark of Cornwall. Along the way, the two end up drinking a love potion, falling madly in love, and starting an affair. Suspicious of Isolde’s infidelity, King Mark seeks to entrap the two together, which results in the lovers escaping into the forest. This script takes place as the two enter the forest, seeking a place to hide. They discuss their daring escape from near execution, after Isolde is given away to a band of lepers and Tristan is confined to the belltower, which he throws himself from to come to her defense. Though they are ecstatic that they are finally together and free of their burdens, they are also nervous about being potentially discovered. They try to enjoy what remaining time they have together.
As always, please feel free to improv as much or as little as you wish. I would love to hear your interpretation. And, if you do fill this, please let me know!
You can find the script here.
And, if you would like to check out any of my other scripts, you can find them here.
Thanks!
