Hello all!
I’m back with another script! King Arthur/Camelot themed this time. This one took a little bit of research on my part. And…my research was not too successful. There’s a lot of variation between the many different accounts of these stories, and not much information in the way of personality traits and characteristics. So, a lot of this script is purely fantasy, and includes only the bare bones of the original stories. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy!
Synopsis: The speaker here is the legendary King Arthur of Camelot. The listener is his queen, Guinevere. Guinevere has been having sleeping with her husband’s friend and loyal knight, Sir Lancelot. When their affair is discovered, Guinevere escapes to a convent and resides there until Arthur comes to her, where the two argue about her betrayal. While she is apologetic, Guinevere does not deny her love for Lancelot. She attempts to convince Arthur of her affection for him. Both give into temptation, as they expect that this will be their last night together. Her seduction is only temporarily successful though – as the story often goes, Arthur ultimately sentences Guinevere to death.
As always, please feel free to improv as much or as little as you would like. I would love to hear your interpretation. And, if you do fill this, please let me know!
You can find the script here.
Thanks!
