Hello all!
Here I am, back with another script! I was recently reminiscing about a trip to Salem, Massachusetts, so I thought Iād craft a script around the Salem Witch Trials. Hope you enjoy!
Synopsis: The speaker here is a judge who is ruling on the cases of the accused witches of the town of Salem. The listener is one of the many women accused of witchcraft. She is headstrong and fiery. The listener believes that the witch trials are all a sham and is unwilling to submit herself to the judgement of a kangaroo court. On the eve of her trial, the speaker/judge visits her in an effort to coax a confession out of her. His attempts are quickly dismissed. Angry with her refusal, the judge decides to take advantage of her helplessness.
Please note that very little historical research went into this, and this script is largely based on my time spent in Salem, as well as my memories of The Crucible by Arthur Miller.
As always, please improv at your own leisure. I would love to hear your interpretation. And, if you do fill this, please let me know!
You can find the script here.
Thanks!
