Hello all!
I’m back, and I brought a new script with me! My last script was on the darker side, so I thought I would change things up and write something slightly more wholesome. I’ve been trying to weave my love of classical music into a script for a while now, and this ended up being the result. Fun fact: some of the lines in the beginning of the script are real quotes from my various piano teachers over the course of many years of piano lessons (not the sexy lines though lol).
As you might have already guessed from the tags, some sort of classical piano music is needed for this script to make sense. I specifically mentioned Chopin’s music in this script, but if you would prefer to change the composer, then that’s totally fine. The particular piece I was thinking of while writing this was Chopin’s Ballade No. 4 in F minor, if you would like some inspiration!
Synopsis: The speaker and the listener are a piano teacher and student, respectively. They are well acquainted with each other. At their usual weekly lesson in the teacher’s home, the student is burdened by some unhappy news. She is engaged to a man she doesn’t care for, and she secretly harbors feelings for the speaker. The teacher attempts to offer comfort, but he also has a secret of his own.
As always, feel free to improv as you please. I would love to hear your interpretation. And if you do fill this, please let me know!
You can find the script here.
Thanks!
