Hello friends! Had a fun idea the other day, so here we are. (Also, plus like a billion points if you can spot what inspired this fun idea).
The premise of this script is that the speaker and listener are from different countries and cultures. The speaker is visiting the listener's country, and about to fly home when she meets the listener at an airport cafe. Their exchange highlights a difference in norms around discussing masturbation... and, eventually, some actual masturbation, too.
If you care to do this in a non-native-English-speaking accent (be it real or fake!), that would be amazing. That said if that isn't you, there's no real reason the speaker can't be American (or another English-speaking nationality), and the listener be of another origin.
Well, it was nice to meet you. I have to go now - my flight is in a few hours, and I wanted to look in the gift shop, and then find somewhere to masturbate. Have a good flight!
W-what? Why are you looking at me funny? Did -did I get the English wrong? [alternate version if you're playing the character as a native English speaker: "Is the gift shop really lousy or something?"]
[if doing as a native English speaker, skip the second part of this line] Masturbate? eh, it means like, to... pleasure yourself, sexually?
[said with genuine curiosity/lack-of-understanding] Why is that weird?
[bewildered] Well... but I mean, don't you?
Okay, so why is it weird to talk about?
