For the purposes of the story (like there actually is a story there, LOL) let’s think that they stay in an inn for the night and not in the woods by the fire.
Changes and improvisation are WELCOME; ad libbing in Scots or Scottish Gaelic is practically BEGGED for (throw out the sayings that I put in there if they feel too cheesy)! :-) One thing: when improvising, be kind to never take the Lord’s name in vain, LOL, it would break the character. ;D
About 1100 words. English words. I didn’t write in Scots, because I don’t know it well enough to do it justice and didn’t want to mess it up. Feel free to change anything to make it more authentic or suitable for you! :-)
