Is it like this
In death's other kingdom
Waking alone
At the hour when we are
Trembling with tenderness
Lips that would kiss
Form prayers to broken stone.
-TS Eliot, "The Hollow Men"
After my last script, I was contemplating the idea of sexiness. What does it mean that there are seven billion people in the world and we each find people attractive? Surely this has more effect on our collective consciousness than the superficialities of advertising and casting decisions of Hollywood.
In this script, I wanted to take a step back and treat lust as not just a feeling but a concept--as a part of what makes us human. People do all kinds of things for money or happiness or what we think will make the world better; what do we do for lust, and how does that affect society?
I tagged this as FM4A because those were the voices I was hearing as I wrote, but it could work for MM or FF. There is one line referring to a strap-on, but that line can be changed, and the parts calling for a blowjob/cunnilingus can be changed accordingly. This can also be performed by one person doing both voices, which would bring up a whole host of philosophical questions.
I was going for a creepy feel in this--not ghosts and serial killer creepy but in the sense that something is slightly off. Think "The Waste Land" or Bioshock. I also wanted it to be voyeuristic. It's like the listener is hiding in a closet listening to two people fuck but the couple knows the listener is there.
As for the various sex noises, do what you would like with them. I indicated where I want them to fall in the script, but I'm leaving it up to the performers to decide what exactly those noises are as I don't want things to sound too strained. The idea behind this script is that it's more of a structure than rigid lines to be read.
Feel free to make changes. Comment/PM if you have questions.
