For some reason some of my recent recordings, in particular ones that I had hoped to post, have very shrill s sounds in them. They are quite the earful when listening back, so I've avoided posting them.
I've tried using a de-esser plugin (an appropriate name, I was amused to discover) for audacity but it doesn't seem to have made any difference whatsoever to these sounds. There must be experts out there who have come across this problem in the past and may be able to help. What do I do to ensure I don't burst eardrums?
I guess I will hear that I should do everything I can to avoid these in the first place. It seems that pop filter and microphone placement haven't made a difference for this. Part of the problem is likely my voice but I don't believe this was as big an issue in the past with almost the same setup. Any thoughts?
