Should I, after tea and cakes and ices
Have the strength to force the moment to its crisis?
-TS Eliot, "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock"
No matter how old I get, I don't think I'm ever going to outgrow that initial awkwardness of having a crush. And as much as I hate it, I also love it. It's a rush. I think that awkwardness is often left out of romantic works, and even when it's mentioned, it's usually described in a way to distance the reader/listener/watcher. I guess people want to make the audience feel comfortable or something? With this script, I wanted to look that awkwardness in the face, embrace it, and have sex with it.
The scenario is that the speaker and listener are in a tent after a long day of camping. There are other tents around them, so this should be a bit soft spoken--not whispered but you know, in that sort of quiet, just-before-bed voice. Also, the script calls for lotion sound effects. You can leave them out if you want, but they are very soothing and ASMR-y. You can probably just rub the lotion between your hands to get that sound like you're spreading it across someone's shoulders.
Feel free to improv, comment/PM if you have questions, feedback is appreciated, etc.
edit: Also, if you want to add crickets or other outside sound effects, feel free.
