As I mentioned in another post recently, I love hysterical recordings. I especially like the ones where the poster is trying to do something other than reading (such as gaming). A few days ago, I somehow came up with the weird little idea to play some hysterical piano exercises, so ... that's what I did.
The exercises I played are from Hanon's The Virtuoso Pianist, which is in the public domain as it was originally published before 1922. (You can check out the International Music Score Library Project website for more information, if you'd like.) A couple notes for folks familiar with these exercises and/or pianos: (1) I played slight variations on the exercises, because that's how I practiced them when I used to take lessons; (2) I used the practice pedal on my piano, so the sound is dampened.
Thanks for indulging me in my goofy, little experiment. It was definitely a fun experience for me. ;)
