‘The Daughter of the Skies' is a type of tale that can be found in many lands, and in many forms. But the theme is a common one - there's a telling in John Francis Campbell’s ‘Popular Tales of the West Highlands’, as told to Campbell by James MacLauchlan, a servant from Islay. and it can be found in other tales, like ‘The Black Bull of Norway’, ‘East of the Sun and West of the Moon’, ‘The Tale of the Hoodie’ and others. But none of them are this tale, or not quite, so it’s offered for what it is :-). This form was put together for the Fairy Tale contest, as a gift for someone. But the Land Called Real got in the way of it being done, so I'll set it here in case it amuses any. But the tale is too long to be told here, and it must be found in another place, and this is that place:
