Here it is, this time properly edited (I'm mortified I accidentally uploaded the wrong version before). Hope people like this one. I've not really done a Southern accent before. I was going for what I think might be Texan, though I may well have lost it and slipped into something else (New Olreans or something? Who knows) at some points. I actually really hate this attempt at an accent, I think it's a pretty bad job and I might reattempt it, maybe with a different accent.

My voice and the dynamic was sort of patterned on Joel and his relationship to his daughter Sarah from the prologue of The Last of Us, which is gorgeous and beautifully acted. It's easily available on youtube to watch. Also, don't watch more than the first three minutes or so, or you will end up crying all of the tears and getting entranced by a beautiful story.
