Summary

The listener is having an affair with Zeus, the king of all gods. But since he comes to her in disguise as a human, she asks him to prove who he really is—by making love to her as his true self. Based on the tale of Semele from Ovid's Metamorphoses, with a few liberties taken.

This script can be performed completely *without* SFX.

However, if you are someone who enjoys playing with sound, you are welcome to get as creative as you’d like. I have provided some guides/suggestions throughout the script, but any SFX work is completely up to your own discretion and creativity. Have fun! Just take care that the stormy-SFX don’t overpower the vocals. It’s okay for them to be at a lower volume if the voice needs to shine through.
