The first is the shopkeeper who manages the actual apothecary and who first greets the listener. He is bubbly, enthusiastic, and polite.
The second is the shopkeeper who manages the secret part of the business, the one who manufactures and sells dreams. He is a bit awkward and polite.
The third is the puppy boy who appears in the listener’s dream. He looks exactly like the shopkeepers and has a well, a puppy-like personality. Charming, mischievous, and eager to please.
The listener gets to have a cock. Don’t ask why, this is dreamland. Anything’s possible.
