You switch off your television and look outside. Nothing is out of the ordinary. You chalk up what you saw as some prank from a hacker. That is until you notice a similar alert on your phone. Various news sites have reported sightings of women that aren’t human. They have features from various mythology and appear similar to cosplayers but some of them are more monstrous in appearance. The current trending hashtag on twitter was “CameramanAssualt” after one of the women sprinted at a news van with inhuman speed and pulled the guy operating the camera out of the car. What you expected to see was the man being torn apart by a monster but from the frames right before the news feed had been cut you saw that only his clothes were being torn.

You put down your phone and look around for something to barricade your door with but as you do you hear a knock at your door. Not only do you live alone but you’ve never gotten to know your neighbors. The chances of someone you know being on the other side of the door were slim to none. Still, you approach your door and look through the peephole, no one was there. You then hear a knock at one of your windows. You turn towards it to see a woman who could pass for human if it wasn’t for her horns, eyes, and wings.

She isn’t trying to break in, rather it seems like she’s trying to get you to open the door for her. She presses herself against the window revealing her very revealing outfit. Your mind goes back to the alert regarding these women who didn’t hide the fact that they were monsters, but what could she do? You were inside and she was outside. At the same time, however, you can’t help but feel a tightening in your chest each time you look at her. Like the very thought of being in this woman’s presence was enough to make you crumble.
