Ok, I know I said I'd slow it down with these scripts, but I had the day off and an edible and this one just kind of...happened. I promise, promise, promise this will be the last one for at least a little while. Plus, I've been feeling so guilty about the fate of the poor little catgirl in my vet script from last week and I just had to write one a happy ending. It's not the same character, but if it makes you happy to pretend it is, I'm good with that. This is also my longest script by a lot and I'm pretty nervous about it, (it's got multiple scenes ahh!) so please let me know what you think. Thanks!
Set up: You find a lost catgirl in your back yard. She has a nasty cut, so you take her inside to get her fixed up. You soon realize that she's a runaway and terrified of her previous owners. You decide you'll do anything to protect her and make her feel safe.
TW: blood, past abuse, sort of self harm but not in a mental health way
Names used: kitty, kitten, sweet thing, sweet girl, sweetheart, angel, pet
No color descriptors of va or listener used. The speaker calls himself a big guy and is able to carry the listener in his arms. The word little is used a lot to describe the listener but more in a cute way than a literal description way.
VA note: I've been watching The Last of Us (my soft little heart may never recover from that third episode ugh), so definitely had a certain gruff silver fox in mind when I wrote this one. That doesn't mean you need to try to do a voice that's not yours or anything, but it should give you something to picture in your head. Very Daddy vibes without the word actually being used. I was imagining him as being sort of surprised by how much he cares about her right away, but gets super protective and a bit possessive really fast.
All sfx and tone markers are suggestions only. Please feel free to make the script work best for you by adding/changing them as needed. Also, if the way a line is written feels awkward in your delivery you can totally improv a similar line that means the same thing. Thanks!
