So I recently moved to a new city and started playing golf. Been addicted to the sport and now play every weekend. I just made a couple of golf buddies who are cool people to hang around but absolute cheater when it comes to golf. I am a 28 handicapper but pride myself in keeping true scores and following the rules. These 2 golf buddies will report 5s and 6s instead of 10s. Take at least 8-10 mulligans per round and end up scoring in the low 90s. I have yet to break 100 and I can honestly say that these 2 dudes have never actually beaten me. We dont play for money, just scoring against ourselves. But it still bugs me that they constantly lie about their shot total and clearly dont follow the rules. I wouldnt mind if they are not trying to keep score or celebrate after the round. But the fact that they actually think they are golfers in the 90s and im always โloosingโ to them is starting to get me off my game when I play with them.
I did call them out in a very friendly way on a hole last time, and they accepted their true score. But next hole they were back on their bullshit and I dont want to create friction by calling them out every hole and potentially loose my only golf buddies lol.
What should I do?
