Looking for help figuring out what to get for irons!

Post Body

First of all, thank you for reading, and thank you in advance if you leave comments to help me!

Starting with my background in golf. I bought used clubs a few years ago, not knowing anything about clubs. (Come to find out recently the irons are blades) In the past I have played a few rounds of 18 per year, never keeping score, just playing best ball. I recently kept my first score and it was well over 100. I am wanting to start really getting into the sport and understand now that the irons I have are not what's best for a novice player.

I know I want/ need cavity back irons. But there are far too many options and prices. I doubt I will know any difference between a $500 set of irons and $1000 set of irons. I come to to reddit to ask opinions, start arguments, gain knowledge, and hopefully come out of this knowing what I want to spend and purchase for an iron set.

Thank you in advance!
