Kinda a naive question here: I changed my SIM driver loft last month from 10.5 to 8.5 to get a bit of a lower ball flight. I didn’t touch the weight or anything, just asked the guy at a shop to twist the head down using the adjuster by 2 degrees (since SIM can only adjust 2 at a time). My playing partner today mentioned that doing so could open the face up and promote a fade. Is this true? In general, if you buy a club of say 10.5 degrees, does making it 8.5 or 12.5 promote a certain shot shape? I’m asking because with a neutral face my miss is already to the right so it’s important that I get unbiased feedback. Thanks!
