I recently hit a bet on Scottie Scheffler to win gold so I decided to switch up parts of my bag (maybe the whole bag)! For context, I am a mid hcp that has been improving steadily (I picked up the sport four months ago and have nearly broken 80). I used to play with Callaway Edge clubs but found hitting more bladed irons with stiffer shafts actually helped me hit my driver and irons further and straighter for some reason. I do swing pretty hard so I feel like that makes a little sense.

Currently I am playing:

Callaway Mavrik- Driver, 3w, 5h (stiff) Callaway Apex Pro- 3i (stiff) Srixon ZX5 MKII- 4i and 5i (stiff) Mizuno MP20 MMC- 6i-PW (stiff) Callaway MD3 wedges- 50 and 56 (reg) Scottie Cameron Futura Putter

I plan to swap the irons out for a TaylorMade combo set I just got that has the P7MC 4i-6i and the P7MB 7i-PW with extra stiff shafts. I hope I don’t regret this move- please let me know if it was a bad idea! I just got an insanely good deal to trade for them and caved. Also looking into used Vokey wedges 50, 54, 58 if I’m able to sell/trade my current ones. Any other swaps you’d make in the bag? I like the way I hit the woods and hybrids right now so I don’t think I’ll change anything there for a while but may swap to TM if I like their irons. Really enjoy just testing out new clubs and trading clubs with people!
