I almost lost my cool on an old man with his wife and assuming grandchildren. The kids were late teens. On hole 2 they hit directly into me. Went 10 ft passed me. I figure I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. I was just over a crest of a hill. They might now have seen me. But still should have known not to hit with how close I would have been giving the time between shots.
He meets us at the next hole and jokingly goes “let’s speed it up”. There were groups in front of me. It was crazy busy. Not our fault we’d have to wait 5 min a hole.
A few holes later we had just putted off the green. As we’re still standing there he hits again. Same thing. About 10 ft passed me. I threw my arms in the air.
Very next hole. We were down range waiting to hit our second shot. Someone drives into us again. Luckily landing about 30-40 yards back.
I decided right then had he shot into me again there ball was gonna come right back at them or into the woods. They didn’t do it again since when I’d be waiting to shoot I’d turn around and stare. But what do you do? How do you deal with impatient golfers shooting into you?
