I am traveling to Scotland for the first time and staying in Edinburgh. I am looking to golf while I am there and playing as a single. I would love to play St Andrews of course, but learned singles apply the night before and get drawn from a lottery, unfortunately I want to actually have something planned plus won't have a car to make the hour drive. Does anyone have any experience with any courses in the Edinburgh area or how to book? This is my first time trying to play golf internationally and would love to be able to still play a nice course. I assume you can also rent clubs I hope as I will only get to play one day, so I'm just taking my shoes with me.
