61M 11 hdcp from NY/CT: Plan to go ASAP for a month or two. Looking for local knowledge to pick a location based on the following:

  1. Traffic and ability to 'get around'- Which of the above towns is less of a shit shows, as far as getting around in a rental car is concerned?

  2. Pace of play - Is any one city or town better or worse for pace of play on the public or muni course? I'm just looking for an area with a few tweener courses in the $50-60 range I can walk and not be sitting on the ground for 20 minutes between shots. Is this doable down there right now anywhere?

  3. Course conditions - Are conditions eg the grass on the fairways, and puttable greens, different in the above locations at my price point? Is one better than the other? I do not need anything fancy. Just 18 holes with a Sup that cares will do in any of the above locations if this is a reasonable expectation.

  4. Price - Course suggestions @$50-60 a loop. I'm on Golfnow daily looking at all of the cities above. Just hard to tell from the pictures. Figuring lots of locals know their way around down there. might not even want to say where, as that will drive play to those places. Have to try tho, right?

  5. Location - Might fly into MIA only bc I can get non-stop redemption on points w/American outta JFK. Then rent a car and hit the road (maybe), or just stay close to MIA. It's been years, but last time I drove FL to NY I was shocked at how long a drive it is to go from say Palm Beach to Jacksonville! So, could drive around the state, or fly to one of the list cities if that is better. Don't really know how long a drive it is from MIA to TPA. Be nice to just park myself at a cheap Marriott Courtyard or other 2 star and play. That's the goal, or an AirB2B if I like an area a lot.

Thanks for any suggestions/help.
