So I've never had a handicap, but I signed up for a scramble tournament with some friends for this Saturday.
I created a profile on the CDGA website (live in Chicago) and logged my last 3 rounds, which was what was needed at a min for a handicap.
Now I've been playing a lot more this summer than ever before and was consistently shooting in the mid 90's, but my last 3 rounds were on really tough courses, with awful conditions, playing from the tips and I shot in the mid/high 100's for all of them.
My buddies are all accusing me of sandbagging, but the only other scores I have are my 3 best rounds for the season. I feel like logging those would slant things unfairly and it would be more accurate to just stick with chronological.
Either way it's all a moot point since my partner and I aren't likely going to win anything and are just going out there for fun. But I wanted an objective ruling on what would be the most honest handicap for me at this point.
